Friendly Friday Challenge – Notice The Beauty Around You

I loved this Friendly Friday Challenge prompt, although at first I wasn’t sure I’d write something in response to it. After all, we don’t have that many wild flowers growing around here. Or so I thought.

But it made me open my eyes. I went for a walk in Battersea Park and walked along the edge of the park. I usually use this path when I’m running and too focused on putting one foot in front of the other to take much notice of what’s around me.

To my surprise, I found an abundance of wild flowers. They might not be as shiny or sizeable as their cousins in the maintained areas of the park, yet they are none-the-less beautiful.

I’m grateful for this challenge, as it reminded me that beauty is all around us when we take the time to look for it.

Until next time!

  1. A worthwhile cause and great reminder to observe the things we often take for granted. I love that the wildflowers found you on your walk. Is this Battersea in England by any chance?
